  • Being not-knowing

    Magdi Badawy, 09-24-2023 Being has no beginning and no ending. You have no beginning, no ending. You are not that which appears to you. You are not that which is perceived. You are the reality of being, the reality which perceives. But, which is not limited to perceiving. I am is beyond any doubt.

    In your dream, your night dream, you fall off a bridge, or you lose your fortune. You experience all sorts of mishaps, none of which is real. Similarly, as consciousness, as being, as reality, nothing which appears to you has any relevance to you. And yet we experience personal identity.

    We don’t need to do anything. So that the mind can relax, take a break. Not, for any purpose. Not in order to reach a certain state. But to unplug the machine.

    You don’t need to do any effort. Relax into being. Notice the peace and the stillness that permeates your experience. Allow the peace of being to shine. You don’t need to figure anything out. Notice how the sound of this voice, thoughts appear to you, without any effort, without you doing anything.
