Dear Jeff, please let me know if this works better (on your Android phone):

Hello, everyone.

Welcome.
Welcome yourself
as myself.

Just a reminder that
there will be a guided meditation
followed by questions.

We can start right away with I am.

Why dance around the bush?

I am, but without the past.
Without baggage,
without carrying old stories
and rehashing them over and over,
without identification!

Is that is that possible
to welcome am ness,
to welcome the I am
without any identification?

This formless awareness
does not require a story.

Does not require
a personal narrative.

This effortless awareness,
it is you that is aware.

Not you,
the man,
the woman,
the body.
Not you,
the image.
Not you,
the story.

But you,
the source,
the reality,
that which is and cannot not be.

So as best as possible
for the duration of this meeting,
simply be without knowing
what you are.

It’s possible.
Allow things to be as they are.
Whatever is appearing to you,
not try to figure it out.

No need to do anything.

Try it out.
To be like an open field
of being,
of awareness.

Sensations may appear to you.

Sure.
Sure.
Sounds,
sensations,
shapes,
colors.

They are images on the screen.
Aren’t they?

Appearing and disappearing
in the effortlessness of awareness.

Contemplate that
God is not seeking to improve itself.
Consciousness is not trying
to become a better consciousness.

Can you,
can you surrender to that?
Can you understand that deeply?

Not just conceptually, but
to be open
to the fact that you are
this conscious awareness.

The body-mind may be located
in a house,
in a room.

But the room,
the walls,
the images,
the screen appears WITHIN you.

Hearing these words appears within you.
What is this you?
It cannot be an object,
because a sound or hearing
does not appear in an object.

And am is beyond any doubt.
Awareness,
consciousness
is beyond any doubt.
It does not require thought.
It does not require memory.

But to be somebody
requires thought,
requires memory.

And to be somebody limits you,
it’s a limitation.
And it’s false
because things appear to you.
You do not appear as a thing.

So why identify with anything?
What for?

Why identify
with the body,
with the tribe,
with the nation,
with the religion,
with the philosophy,
with a sensation.

What freedom do we gain
from identification?

Can we be this moment
completely not-knowing?
It is sufficient.
Being is sufficient unto itself.

There is
a certain ease,
a certain flow, and
a certain sweetness
to being without identification.

You have to try it out.
See how it fits in your life.
To be like the river;
this effortless openness.

There’s no need
to hold on to anything.
Holding on is illusion.

It maintains the sense of lack.
Who loves the sense of lack?
No one.

So why do we start with
I am missing this,
I am missing that?

Why do we start
with a sense of lack?
Why do we start with,
oh my god, if only I could?

Why am I not getting there?

Do we really need
these unhappy positions
while it is available to us
to be this open,
effortless beingness,
awareness
that has
no name,
no age,
no gender.

That’s our reality.

When we meet,
it’s not my body that meets your body.
It is that same awareness
which recognizes itself,
that same presence,
that same beingness
that recognizes itself,
which is love.

It is not the form
or the shape that we love.
It is the presence which we
love in each other.
It’s the same presence,
the same essence.

And then there is fear.
The fear of letting go
of our identifications,
of our stories,
fear of letting go
of our attachments,
fear of letting go
of our opinions.

The fear of allowing
the emotions or the sensations
to appear and dissolve
back from where they arose from.

Instead, we hold on
sometimes.
We want to argue.

But that’s not
what we are destined
to do in this very brief lifespan,
this ephemeric waking dream,
which goes so fast.

We are meant to awaken,
to awaken from the illusion of separation,
the unhappy and unnecessary add on.

To awaken to our true self
as this oneness,
wholeness,
universal aware presence.

Which is so creative
and completely free;
the freedom of being,
not the freedom of being somebody.

There is limited freedom in being somebody.

It’s a story-line we have been habituated
to believe in
and hold on to.

Freedom is our essential nature,
not something we gain and we lose.

So in this moment,
you are that freedom.
Not somebody,
not something,
not a material form.

You don’t need to seek guidance
from the stream of thought;
the ticker machine.

The guidance is from that
which is and perceives
and knows it is.

The guidance is from the invisible;
this effortless awareness,
not the stream of thought.

Notice how thoughts
appear and disappear.
Sounds, shapes
appear and disappear.

Don’t build a dam.
Don’t try to fish,
the water out of the ocean,
fish the river out of the riverbed.

Don’t be so naive.
You don’t need to waste your time.

Awakened.
You are awake.
You are that.

So if you have any questions,
please make sure to unmute yourself.
And you’re welcome to turn your video on;
I like to see you.

So any questions?
You can raise your hand
or use the React icon
at the bottom of the screen.

It has the shape of a heart.
If you click on it,
you can raise your hand also that way.

Any questions?
