Dear Jeff, please let me know if this works better (on your Android phone):
Welcome everyone.
Lovely to see you,
to be together.
So just to remind you
that this meeting will start
with a guided meditation,
and then we can have
questions and conversation.
So if we could,
in this moment,
invite ourself
to be without the past.
A gentle invitation.
No effort.
Not trying to get anywhere
or get it right.
Because right now,
in this moment,
the past is not needed.
There is nothing that
you need to do.
So we welcome this non-doing,
which is always there
as a background of
our activity.
But right now,
in the foreground,
as a way of speaking,
we just let go.
No identity.
It’s not needed right now.
Notice how effortlessly
thoughts appear to you.
They appear out of
out of what?
There isn’t any individual
or separate entity
that is choosing the thoughts.
And yet thoughts appear.
Sensations appear,
hearing in this moment.
To be with the flow.
There is no separation anywhere.
Everything you experience,
every sensation,
you experience it
in complete intimacy,
which is
non duality.
You and that which you perceive,
that which you experience,
are not two.
But that which you experience
appears and disappears,
you remain.
Take a look.
The memory appears to you
an image.
Maybe the recollection
that dissolves
as it appears.
Where did it come from?
Where did it go?
It is said that everything
which appears
and disappears
arises from that
which does not.
A thought does not arise
out of another thought
or out of a sensation.
And yet perception
is undeniable.
What is the perceiving aspect?
It is obviously you
which perceives.
What is that?
Is that something
that you can know
with your mind?
Is that something
which appears to you?
Are you an appearance?
And if so,
what perceives it?
That which perceives,
whatever that is,
the perceiving aspect
is undeniable.
Should we refer to it
as awareness?
Often overlooked
when we are engrossed
by the senses.
But it is
the undeniable aspect
of your experience,
that I am aware,
irrespective of what appears
on the screen.
I am and I am aware.
And I know I am aware.
See your very self
effortlessly.
Awareness is aware,
and it knows it is aware.
But from the mind’s perspective,
there is an addiction to goodies.
Being awareness
from the mind’s perspective,
the habits,
the addictions.
You can’t squeeze too much juice
out of that.
But even addictions,
mind habits
require awareness.
What is the point
of any sweet,
pleasurable experience
in the absence of awareness?
What would it be?
We are habituated to
perceive ourself
as a separate entity.
The world is out there.
The mind is in here.
I’m in the world
trying to move
towards the next step.
And oftentimes
it seems to be meaningless.
Because it is,
if our understanding is
focused on that
which is impermanent.
There’s nothing
that you can grasp
and take along with you.
We imagine
the world is out there,
and as a result,
we perceive a world
out there.
But, in fact,
we never truly perceive
a world out there.
It’s a belief structure.
When you take a look
at your experience,
there’s no out there.
There may be the belief,
or the concept of out there,
but experientially,
without carrying the past
and all belief structures,
in this moment of no time,
in the now,
the eternal now.
Time and space collapse.
They collapse in awareness.
The shining light of awareness.
And in this collapse,
the mind,
which is constantly
resisting and seeking,
dissolves in presence.
Which is peace,
effortless,
causeless peace.
So do we need to return
to the me story?
Do we?
What’s gonna happen to me?
What did they do to me?
Is there a valid reason
to leave the peace of being
seemingly,
because in fact
we never leave
that which we are.
And yet,
when we go back
to the habitual sense of separation,
the me stories,
believing ourselves to be
a mortal entity.
It’s unhappy.
Check it out.
But when you get a peek
into the causeless joy,
the causeless peace and freedom,
it’s a precious gift.
A direct message from God,
speaking in religious terms.
Why discard
such a message
and return to making
the mind and the body
and the world your guide,
seeking mind states.
They’re all fleeting.
Seeking experiences,
they’re fleeting as well.
Contemplate that there is
nothing that is
outside of yourself,
outside of consciousness,
outside of being,
outside of reality.
Take a look at your experience.
Thoughts appear within awareness,
within you,
to you.
They arise intimately
arise at zero distance from you.
There’s no separation.
It’s only one reality.
You know that deep down in your heart,
in your inner wisdom,
where the light shines.
Everything that you perceive,
that you experience,
refers to that reality.
Is a an expression
a manifestation
of that one reality,
which is formless.
Because,
that which has no opposite
is not limited by form.
That which has
no beginning and ending
is not limited
by time and space.
And what is it?
What is that you
experience this moment,
in this moment?
What is it that is unborn?
It’s for you to find out.
It’s not, you’re not deprived from grace.
You are that,
and That does not refer to things.
It refers to the Totality.
So no words to truly express
that which is absolute.
So we speak metaphorically.
So we live without holding on.
We do not take a particular stand
or position.
And you live
moment by moment
without defining yourself
in any way.
Without carrying an image
or story about yourself
and others.
To be fresh, childlike,
ebullient.
To be no one and nobody
it is to be everyone and everybody,
because in being no one
you’re open,
completely open.
There are no personal problems
in this openness,
in this borderless presence.
Personal problems require
a me,
a story,
a history,
some personal belief structure,
personal identity.
Simply be,
which is effortless,
effortless being.
So if you have any questions,
anything you would like to explore,
please make sure to unmute yourself.
And you can also raise your hand
or there’s an icon,
the React icon in the bottom of the screen,
where you can also raise your hand.
