Dear Jeff, please let me know if this works better (on your Android phone):
Hello, everyone.
Lovely to be with you.
A reminder that,
the first part of this meeting
will be a guided meditation,
and after that,
you’re welcome to explore
whatever questions, you may have.
So if you can sit comfortably,
and,
you’re welcome to either
close your eyes
or turn your gaze inward.
And,
welcome your experience
just as it appears
without a need to do anything,
without trying to figure anything out
or trying to improve your experience.
Simply be comfortable
and notice the inner tranquility.
You can turn your attention
towards the gentle breath,
this subtle movement.
And,
be welcoming,
meaning
do nothing.
Whatever appears to you,
whether it’s a a thought,
an image,
or a bodily sensation,
appears to you of its own
without any effort.
There is,
no one doing anything.
If a thought appears,
you don’t need to grasp onto it
or entangle yourself in it.
It’s an impersonal event
appearing and dissolving
in the spaciousness of awareness.
Bodily sensations similarly
appear in this effortless vastness.
There is no personal entity
doing anything;
just, mind impressions.
Notice,
the peace,
the tranquility,
the causeless causeless peace,
which is not the result of any activity.
It’s just there for the noticing.
It invites you to relax
and release
and let go.
Then, if you like,
scan your body and notice
if there are any holding on
any places within your body
where there is a certain tightening.
You don’t need to judge it.
Simply invited to relax and release.
It’s a natural tendency
for the body to rest and relax,
when it is not needed to perform any task,
like, during this meeting here.
There may be habits
within the body
where we hold on.
It’s a tightness,
a tightening.
It’s okay.
We we’re not going on a hunt
because that’s too much work.
So gentle scanning, loving.
There’s a sweetness to it
an interest.
Notice the bodily sensations
appear to you.
Like, the sensation of
your feet on the ground
or your back,
against the couch or the chair.
There is no effort required
in perceiving these sensations.
The gentle movement
of the breath or the heartbeat,
all these sensations appear.
They appear to you.
In other words,
they appear in awareness.
You you are this,
effortless awareness.
You may perceive an image,
an image of yourself.
I don’t know,
maybe a memory of
when the body mind was 12 year old.
Various images of the body-mind.
Memories.
Then they dissolve.
Maybe a different image may follow.
You don’t need to define yourself
by the images which appear to you.
In fact,
you don’t need to define yourself
in any way.
What for?
You already are that,
which you are,
which we refer to as
this effortless awareness,
consciousness,
presence,
being.
Which is formless,
ageless,
genderless,
nonlocal.
Are you that which you perceive?
Or are you the perceiving element?
Are you the images?
Are you the sensations?
Are you the memories
which appear to you and disappear?
Take a look right now.
Are you defined by that
which you are perceiving,
or are you the perceiving element?
Homeless,
genderless,
borderless,
limitless.
The body appears to you.
It appears to you via the mind.
Time and space.
Nineteen sixty,
nineteen ninety,
twenty twenty five.
What is it right now?
What is what is Sunday, 03/06/2025 right now?
Do you do you exist in time?
Are you decaying minute by minute,
second by second?
What is it that is decaying?
What is decay
when the mind is quiet and still?
One could say that the body-mind
changes over time.
We could say that
from the human mind perspective.
But are you decaying?
Are you changing over time?
You could say, oh, yes.
I have changed over time.
When I was 12 year old,
I believed in fairies,
now I don’t.
But you’re just talking
about the mind of a 12 year old
and the mind of a 50 year old.
Of course,
the mind constantly changes.
Two thousand years ago,
we didn’t know too much about AI.
Cell phone.
Storing data in the cloud.
I still don’t I still haven’t figured that one out.
But we are not talking about the mind.
Right?
We’re talking about I.
You.
What is what is I in this moment?
What are you?
What is it that is hearing these words?
Was it a female that is hearing
these words or a male
that is hearing these words?
What is just hearing?
Awareness,
consciousness
taking on the form of sound and hearing.
We are so used to identify with the body-mind.
A cute five year old girl or five year old boy.
We are so cute as a body mind.
So we learn that I am
a male or a female entity.
Are you?
Can you explore this question?
I’m not in the body-mind,
which I perceive.
Am I the sensations which I perceive?
Am I defined by the body-mind
which appears to me?
Am I my house?
Am I my car?
Am I my bank account?
Am I the thoughts which appear to me?
What is it in your experience?
Right now,
in every moment that is uncaused,
that does not come and go,
that is not subject to time and space.
It is so liberating to be free
from identification.
To live from that freedom
and to live as that freedom,
Freshness of being,
the innocence,
the spontaneity.
Not to be burdened
by the past and
by the me stories,
which limit us.
Heavy, heavy stuff.
Old arguments
and old family stuff
and disputes
among friends and partners.
What is the freshness,
the lightness,
the beauty,
the joy
when we are carrying the past?
And worrying about the future.
Is it possible to be not knowing?
To be undefined
and not to accumulate
stuff,
mind stuff,
worldly stuff,
not to accumulate.
Because effortlessly and naturally,
everything dissolves in the source,
arises from the source
and dissolves in the source
without accumulation.
The conditioned mind
imposes artificial conditions.
It spoils the party.
So if you have any questions,
anything that you would like to explore,
make sure to unmute yourself,
and you can raise your hand,
or use the React icon
at the bottom of the screen to
also raise your hand if you’d like to.
You’re welcome to turn on your videos
as I always enjoy seeing you.
So any questions?
